Things that interest and inspire me. Its a sort of digital bonsai for me to prune and maintain. The newest (to me) additions usually live nearer to the top in each category.

Esoteric but somehow grounded in a rhythm of sorts. I really like inhabiting this space.
I keep coming back to this guy’s stuff.
Over-caffeinated, unhinged… strangely beautiful. I don’t know quite how to describe this. Its like if aliens tried to simulate how a school dance might feel to anxious human kids.
Going deep on Patricia lately. His work initially reads as “simple” but it rewards a deep dive.
I like a lot of his other stuff but this new ambient album really hits the spot.
Truly strange and unique. Really enjoying it.
Deliberate but lite climbing sim. Nice vibes.
50 full retro-ish games presented as the forgotten library of an unknown game company. Reminds me of being a kid digging through cases full of floppy disks checking out hacked C64 games my aunt ‘acquired’ for us.
Really good puzzles and a great world to explore.
If I’m being honest this is what I mostly play. I’m @vantspants on PSN. 3v3 Competitive.
Delightful Zelda-like with ‘Souls’ elements.
Its too scary for my kids so I have to play it at odd times and its so demanding that… ugh I suck at it.
You browse an alt-Geocities style 90s web community, learn about their lives and flag the virtual crimes the users commit.
I only got the regular ending, but loved every minute. The super deep extra esoteric puzzles might be too demanding for me.
In no particular order: Super Metroid, Breath of the Wild, INSIDE, Chrono Trigger, FEZ…
My favorite animation studio.
An old favorite by Nelson Boles. Really good teaser for a project that never was finished. You instantly want to see more.
Amazing animation app.
Another great iPad animation app. I really like the export options.
A toolset for using shape layers to clean up rough animation in After Effects.
My Setup: iPad Air M2 13" (Refurbished) + Apple Pencil Pro + Rock Paper Pencil (matte drawing surface/protector) + Moft Dynamic Folio. This is my current iPad rig. The M2 Air is the cheapest option available that allows the new Apple Pencil Pro’s hover feature to work. That hover feature turns it into a true Cintiq-like as a second screen for your computer but with the added benefit of the amazing creative app ecosystem on iPad as well. Highly recommended!
My favorite reference search site. It does a great job bringing up actually useful and inspiring “more like this” content.
Cool free fonts.
Very nice app for sharing files between virtually any device. Free & Open Source.
Fun skewed dive into parenting concerns really. I think I’m gonna read the other Borne books next. I like the world.
Breathtaking stuff.
He’s about the only manga writer/artist I read. So good.
I was hooked after the first story that introduces the world. Lags a bit in book 2 but it all comes together really well in the end.
Grotesque and engaging. I liked this first season of the show too.
Tons of public domain imagery to browse and use.
A hand-coded operating system made by Terry A. Davis. I really want to run it someday but just knowing it exists is so fascinating. He struggled with schizophrenia, and this was his attempt at communicating with God.
From the site: “Between 2009 and 2012, iPhones had a built-in “Send to YouTube” button in the Photos app. Many of these uploads kept their default IMG_XXXX filenames, creating a time capsule of raw, unedited moments from random lives. Inspired by Ben Wallace, I made a bot that crawled YouTube and found 5 million of these videos! Watch them below, ordered randomly.” Incredible.
